For many anxiety and depression problems in England, yes. NHS Talking Therapies accepts self-referrals. Speak to your GP if you are unsure which service fits, have a more complex condition, need medication advice or have physical symptoms needing assessment.

Make it a conversation, not a test

You are allowed to ask questions, explain what matters to you and say when something is not helping. Mental-health care should be based on your needs, circumstances and appropriate clinical assessment.
