Good to Talk · Life gets bloody hard · Free. Always.
Everyone else's highlight reel
If you or someone else is in danger, call 999 or go to A&E. If you need urgent mental-health help but it is not an emergency, use NHS 111 online or call 111 and select the mental-health option.
It is remarkably easy to compare your ordinary Wednesday with somebody else's edited best bits.
Notice what happens after scrolling
Some content entertains or connects you. Some reliably leaves you feeling behind, unattractive, unsuccessful or angry. Your feed is not neutral if it changes how you feel every time you use it.
Curate ruthlessly
Mute, unfollow or reduce exposure to accounts that consistently make you feel worse. You do not owe an algorithm your attention.
Comparison needs context
You rarely know somebody's finances, relationship, health, editing, medication, genetics or what happened five minutes after the photograph. Treat social media as content, not a complete dataset about somebody else's life.
You're not the only one
