Treatment not helping enough is something to review, not proof that you are beyond help.

What you need to know

Treatment not helping enough is something to review, not proof that you are beyond help. Explain whether there is no improvement, partial improvement, side effects or practical barriers. Treatment intensity, therapy, medication or specialist input may need review. Do not make prescribed-medication changes alone.

Make it a conversation, not a test

You are allowed to ask questions, explain what matters to you and say when something is not helping. Mental-health care should be based on your needs, circumstances and appropriate clinical assessment.
