A bad week doesn't need a sequel
Self-help is not the right tool for an emergency. If you or someone else is in danger, call 999 or go to A&E. If you need urgent mental-health help but it is not an emergency, use NHS 111 online or call 111 and select the mental-health option.
Everything slipped. Food, exercise, sleep, work, patience. Fine. Monday does not require a punishment programme.
Find the first domino
What changed first? Sleep? Workload? Illness? Drinking? An argument? Losing routine? Understanding the trigger is more useful than calling yourself lazy.
Restart three basics
Choose only three: wake time, decent breakfast, ten-minute walk, no alcohol tonight, call somebody, clear one work task. Get traction before optimisation.
Drop the compensation
Extreme dieting, excessive exercise or trying to fix seven days in one day usually creates another swing. Return to ordinary helpful behaviour.

Self-help can support mental wellbeing, but it is not a substitute for professional assessment or treatment when those are needed.
