THE SHIFT PROGRAMME · LIFE BACK
What do you want your life back for?
More energy for the day. Feeling comfortable in your clothes. Saying yes to something you have been avoiding. Life Back gives those reasons a place alongside your weight.
Choose a personal goal, record how things feel and keep the small wins you might otherwise forget. Life Back is already part of My Timber.
Start with something that means something to you
Your goal does not have to sound impressive. It has to belong to you. “Join in with the kids in the park.” “Feel comfortable going out with friends.” “Get back to a hobby I miss.” These are examples to help you find your own words, not promises about what SHIFT will achieve for you.
A number on the scales can be useful. It cannot tell the whole story of an ordinary Tuesday, a family day out or the confidence it takes to turn up.
How Life Back works
1. Choose your reason
Write a short personal goal in Life Back. Keep it specific enough that you can recognise progress in everyday life.
2. Check in honestly
Record your own ratings for energy, sleep, confidence, movement, clothes and progress towards your personal goal. These are your impressions, not a medical assessment.
3. Keep a small win
Add something that went better. It might be joining a walk, finding an easier routine or doing something you had put off. Saved check-ins help you look back.
Turn a check-in into one useful next step
Try a simple weekly routine: open your goal, look at your latest check-in and choose one manageable action for the week ahead. You can make that choice even when the week has been messy. You do not need to manufacture a win or mark everything higher.
- Use Grub when planning food is the practical problem.
- Use Fit to explore movement that fits your circumstances.
- Use My Journey to keep your wider priorities together.
- Use SHIFT Health to explore a health concern and the appropriate next step.
A falling rating can be useful information too. Persistent or worrying symptoms need a conversation with a healthcare professional; a tracker cannot explain their cause.
Support through treatment changes
Life Back can be used whether you are exploring treatment, taking it or coming off it. Your personal goal does not disappear when a prescription changes.
When the clinic goes quiet, SHIFT stays on: the practical tools, your saved progress and our coming-off guidance remain part of your Programme. Medicine decisions and clinical follow-up belong with your prescriber or GP. SHIFT does not prescribe or provide an emergency service.

A useful record, with honest limits
Life Back records what you tell it. Its ratings do not diagnose a condition, prove that a medicine is working or guarantee weight maintenance. A check-in is not a request for a clinician to review you.
